The Utah Attorney General's office on Thursday asked a court to freeze the assets of a southern Utah polygamous sect's trust fund and replace its top leaders – including church President Warren Jeffs – with an independent third party. A Charleston County woman could go forward with her malpractice claim against the attorney who drew up a family limited partnership that cut off her property rights when she and her husband divorced, the Appeals Court has ruled.
